How ortevo supports customers with SAP localization

An important part of the growth strategy of SCHÜTZ GmbH & Co. KGaA in Latin America is the standardization of the ERP landscape. In Mexico, the aim was to replace proprietary solutions to cover local legal requirements and introduce SAP in accordance with the global standard.

SCHÜTZ GmbH & Co. KGaA was looking for a partner with an understanding of the local, legal provisions as well as the requirements of a global SAP template.

It also wanted to evaluate alternatives to the existing proprietary solutions for fulfillment of local, legal requirements.

At the start of the project, we identified three main challenges:

  • Challenge 1

    To find the best solution for the implementation of e-invoicing, in compliance with the IT strategy.

  • Challenge 2

    To replace existing solutions with the SAP standard, as far as possible.

  • Challenge 3

    To meet the complex regulatory requirements for all five service and production sites while at the same time complying with the standards of the global template.

The solution

How ortevo handled these challenges

ortevo analyzed the gaps between the existing solution in the local SAP ECC system and the global SAP template, evaluated different solutions together with the customer, and then implemented the system localization.

ortevo Connector and Edicom for e-invoicing were used to efficiently meet the specific requirements of the e-invoicing system.
